We know moving or storing your belongings comes with a lot of questions — and we want you to feel fully informed at every stage. Below you’ll find clear answers to the most common things people ask us about how we work, what to expect, and how we keep your items safe. If you don’t see what you need here, just get in touch — we’re always happy to help.

What do I need to do prior to your crew's arrival?

We have created a checklist that is separated into manageable sections, for you to download and print using the link provided. This will help organise your day and streamline the move. If you have any questions about your move, please don’t hesitate to get in contact, and we will do our best to assist you.

In addition, we have created a list of key points to guide your move.

What time do we normally start on the day of the move?

We usually start between 8:30 and 9:30 am, unless requested otherwise.

How much will I be insured for?

Our liability cover insures our customer for up to £50K.

Are there waiting charges that I need to be aware of?

We will allow up to 2pm for waiting, and then we will charge £30 per person per hour; however, you can avoid this by choosing our late key waiver option, which charges a fee when you book your removal and avoids any late charges.

Do you deliver boxes before the move?

Yes, we do, as well as any other packing items you might need, and we can deliver them at a time that suits you.

Will my move have to be split up into days?

Depending on the size of the move, it might be. Especially if we need to do the packing and/or the moving to address is a fair distance. However, the move will be organised around your needs and convenience.

How do I go about arranging parking suspension?

We can arrange them for an admin fee of £50+VAT or you could contact your local council to arrange it. They normally require around 5 working days’ notice (although this can vary).

Can I still book without confirming a move date?

You can pay 30% deposit to secure your tentative move date regardless of having a confirmation. However, we need a weeks’ notice so we can change the move date without any postponement charges. (Subject to availability).

Do you offer packing of fragile items only?

Yes, we do. If you've opted for fragile packing, please note that we will only pack breakables and delicate items. We will bring materials to protect picture frames, TVs, mattresses, sofas, and other furniture, which will be covered with blankets. Usually, this service is done in 1 day, unless otherwise stated, depending on volume and distance. Our team will be told what to pack based on the survey before the move. If you have any questions about what we will be doing and what you need, please do not hesitate to speak with your move manager.

Boxes – We will bring the necessary boxes on the day to pack only the fragile items. If you require boxes for the remainder of the property, please advise us at the time of booking. If boxes are not included in the quote, then additional charges will apply. Once you have paid your deposit and sent us your quote acceptance, and boxes are included, we will arrange a convenient time to deliver them.

Packing the remainder (non-fragile items) – Please note that the rest is your responsibility. Please ensure the remaining property is packed and ready for the move. Please make sure the items you have packed are labelled accordingly to the rooms they will end up in

What's included in the Full Packing & Move Service?

Our quotes usually include everything — boxes, materials, labour and vehicles — and we’ll bring all we need on moving day; typically we’re able to load around 90% of your items on the first day, and if there’s anything you want us to leave out, simply set it aside and let us know not to pack it.

For long distance moves over 200 miles, we usually complete the pack, load and travel on day one, then deliver and make the return journey on day two — though we always adapt the plan to suit the specific needs of your move.

This is our premium, full-service option where you can sit back and relax — we simply ask that you take care of parking arrangements and keep any high-value or sentimental items separate.

Things to remember when completing your inventory

When completing your inventory, please be clear and precise — we base our quotes on the information you provide, and it’s important to take responsibility for its accuracy. If any items are not listed correctly, additional charges may apply. Please also let us know about any restrictions well in advance so we can plan and be fully prepared for your move.

On payment and cancellations, please note...

The full balance is due 5 days before your move and can be paid by bank transfer, credit card, debit card, or cash. Cheques can be used for deposits, but will take 7 working days to clear, and are not accepted for the final balance. Please note that cancellations or changes to your move date incur charges: within 5 days – 35% of the move value; within 3 days – 50%; within 1 day – 75%; and on the day of the move – 100% of the total move value.
